Advertise on Google Ads with the Djamo card

Advertise on Google Ads with the Djamo card

With millions of searches every second, Google is the most-used search engine in the world, far ahead of Bing, Yahoo, Ask, DuckDuckGo, Baidu, Yandex, Boardreader, Qwant… Google also has Google Ads, which today is one of the best advertising tools to get your business known on the web.

Learn how to use the Djamo card on Google Ads and promote your business effectively.

What is Google Ads?

Google Ads is Google’s advertising platform that lets you run sponsored ads online. Google Ads ads appear at the top of your results page. They’re labeled “Ad.” The idea is to strategically place relevant ads for people searching for something specific. This is called SEM (Search Engine Marketing).

A few Google Ads basics

To run an effective ad campaign on Google, take into account a number of things:

  • The max bid: the biggest amount you’re willing to pay to see your ad appear at the top of results.

  • Ad quality: a relevant ad for your audience with an attractive offer. It’s also an ad with relevant keywords to help ranking.

  • A call to action: your ad message should include a sentence that pushes your audience to act. A phone number, or anything that makes the reader click your ad.

  • User experience: the content on your site. To make readers stay longer on your site, your content needs to be attractive, realistic, and your ad shouldn’t be misleading.

How to launch a Google Ads campaign?

- Create an account

You’ll need your Google credentials and your website address.

- Add a payment method and set your budget

Google Ads works with a Cost-Per-Click (CPC), Cost-Per-Mille (CPM), Cost-Per-Acquisition (CPA)… system. You pick the one that suits your goals and budget.

There are two ways to add a payment method:

You’re entering billing info for the first time

  • Sign in to your Google Ads account, click the Google Ads Tools icon, then select Billing settings in the “Billing” section.
  • Pick the country associated with your business address
  • Choose your payment option and enter your billing details.
  • Read and accept the Google Ads terms, then confirm.

If your payment setting is automatic, once your account is active and your billing info is processed, any ads and campaigns you create can start running on Google. If you picked manual payment: your ads will run as soon as you have funds in your account.

You’ve already entered your billing info

  • In the “Billing” section, click Payment methods in the left menu, then “Add a payment method.”
  • Select your payment method and enter the requested info, then accept the Google Ads terms.

If you want to set the Djamo card as your main payment method, check the “Set this payment method as primary” box.

Note:

You may receive an extra verification code when you make a payment - add your Djamo card via a one-time code sent to your phone.

You must top up your card before adding it to Google Ads. If everything is in order and your card is still declined, it may be restrictions from Google - don’t hesitate to contact their support for more info.

After setting your budget, follow these steps:

  • Confirm your location
  • Choose a network: the “Search Network” and the “Display Network.”
  • Select your keywords
  • Set your bids: automatic or manual.
  • Write your ad content
  • Analyze your performance
