Your current account and card: how it works
Your current account and your card don’t work the same way anymore. Here’s the simple version.
1. Your money sits on your current account
Your main balance lives on your current account. It’s free to use and has no limits.
That’s where you can:
- receive money
- send money
- get your salary paid in
- receive IBAN transfers
- top up or move money via mobile money
- check your balance
👉 The current account is now your main account.

2. Your card is your wallet
Your card is now separate from your current account.
It’s used only to:
- pay (online or in store)
- withdraw cash at an ATM
To use it, you first need to load it from your current account.
👉 It becomes your everyday wallet - a dedicated space for what you spend and withdraw.
3. Loading your card: simple and fast
To use your card:
- Move money from your current account to your card.
- You can pay or withdraw right away.
💡 The easiest way: turn on auto-reload. Your card refills itself from your account whenever it needs to.

4. Why the change?
This separation has a few clear upsides:
- more control over your spending
- more security, since your main balance stays on the account
- a clearer view of what you keep vs. what you spend
- a card that’s simpler to manage day-to-day
