How to create an Xbox account

To create an account, follow these steps:

• Go to the Xbox website
• You’ll need a Microsoft account to create an Xbox account. If you already have a Microsoft account that you use for other Microsoft services (like Windows, Outlook, OneDrive, Office, MSN and Skype), use it to create your Xbox account too.
• If you don’t have a Microsoft account, you can use your usual email address to create one. If you use a non-Microsoft email, you’ll be asked for more information when you first sign in.
• Create a password - it will be linked to your Microsoft account and used only to sign in to Microsoft services.
• Enter your first and last name
• Enter your country and date of birth
• Confirm by entering a code received by email.
• Once that’s done, you’ll own a new Microsoft account and be able to sign in to Xbox.

How to add your Djamo card

On your console, follow these steps:

• Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
• Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Payment & billing.
• Select Add a payment option.
• Choose a payment method, then follow the steps to add your Djamo card. You’ll be asked for your Djamo card details (the card number on the front, the expiration date, the 3-digit security code on the back).

Note: While you can pay for your Xbox games with the Djamo card, you can’t pick Côte d’Ivoire as your billing address. So you’ll need to choose a billing address from one of the countries where Xbox operates. The list is available here

To add a billing address, follow these steps:

• Go to Payment & billing,
• Then select Address book and follow the steps

How to buy a game with your card

To buy a game, you have two options: pay for a Game Pass subscription or buy a single game directly on the site.

To subscribe to Game Pass

• On the site, click the Game Pass tab
• You’ll see all the different plans
• Choose the one that suits you and follow the steps to payment

To buy a game without a subscription

• On the site, click the Games tab
• You’ll see all the different games for PC and console
• Choose the one that suits you and follow the steps to payment

Note: Game Pass is an auto-renewing subscription and games expire at the end of your subscription. Remember to top up your card as the date approaches to avoid rejection fees.

How to cancel an Xbox subscription

To cancel and get a refund for your subscription (if you’re eligible):

• Go to the Services & subscriptions page of your account.
• Click Services & subscriptions
• Select Manage next to the subscription you want to cancel.
• Select Cancel subscription or Turn off recurring billing.

Note: If you choose to cancel and you’re eligible for a refund, you’ll get two options:

• Don’t charge me on (next renewal date)
• Cancel immediately and receive a refund.

If you choose to cancel but you’re not eligible for a refund, you’ll be asked to turn off recurring billing, and no refund option will appear. In that case, you must turn off recurring billing to prevent any new charges.
