How to pay your ID card fees with the Djamo card
Want to pay the stamp fees for your ID card renewal? You can do it with your Djamo card. In this article, we walk you through the process.
Since February 2020, every Ivorian must renew their ID card. The process starts online, and it’s even simpler when you use your Djamo card.
Why does the ID card matter?
The ID card is an official document that proves your identity and your Ivorian nationality. It’s valid for 10 years and is essential for things like opening a bank account, paying by check, and financial transactions, to name a few. Renewing the card is free, but you have to pay a 5,000 F stamp fee. Buying the stamp is the first step in renewing your ID card, and it’s done online.
How to pay the stamp fees with Djamo
Go to the National Office for Identification of Côte d’Ivoire (ONECI) site. You’ll see two options:
- New ID card
- ID card renewal

- Once you’ve chosen, fill in the form with your details.
- Tap “Buy now”, then “Proceed to payment”.

- The button redirects you to the various payment methods.

- Choose Visa, enter your Djamo card details, and tap “PAY”.

- Djamo will send a code to your email and/or phone. Enter the code and tap “Continue” to finalize the payment.

Once the stamp is purchased, print the receipt and head to an ONECI enrollment center to complete your renewal or new ID card. Hand the receipt to the ONECI enrollment agent. After verification they’ll process your enrollment, give you a slip, and let you know when to pick up your new ID card.
