How to trade with the Djamo card

How to trade with the Djamo card

Want to get into trading? With the Djamo card, you can trade on well-known sites like XM.com, Deriv.com (formerly Binary.com), or Justforex. Here are the details.

These brokers all have their own trading platforms, but they can also give you credentials for external platforms like MT4 and MT5. In this article, we focus on Deriv, where you can trade easily with your card.

Create a Deriv account

To create a Deriv account, go to the site. Change the language (it defaults to English). Then tap “Sign in”. Since you don’t have an account yet, tap “Create a new account”. Follow the instructions.

Deriv login

When creating your account, the name you enter must match the name on your Djamo account. To see the name on your Djamo account, go to the “Profile” section in the left menu of the app.

After creating your account, unlike its competitors, Deriv won’t automatically ask you to verify your identity. They’ll email you later. In the meantime, you can already enjoy the broker’s features.

Identity verification on Deriv

On Deriv, you don’t need to verify your account unless asked to. According to their policy, if your account requires verification, Deriv will contact you by email to start the process and give you clear instructions on how to submit your documents. You can use one of the following documents for identity verification:

  • Valid passport
  • Valid personal ID card
  • Valid driver’s license

Plus proof of address, which can be:

  • A bank statement or a utility bill (electricity, water, internet, or landline)

In total, you’ll need at least two documents to be a Deriv customer. Make sure the documents are no more than 6 months old and that your name and physical address are clearly visible.

Verification takes about 1 to 3 business days and you’ll be notified of the result by email. Your documents may be rejected for the following reasons: they’re not legible, they’re invalid, expired, or have cropped edges.

You’ll find all the details about the verification process at this link.

When you request a withdrawal, a link is sent to your email and it can expire before you complete the withdrawal. This usually happens if you tap “Withdraw” multiple times. Just request the withdrawal again, then tap the latest verification link sent to your email. Make sure to use the link within an hour.

Heads up: you must use the same card for deposits and withdrawals.
