Subscribe to Jeune Afrique in one click with your Djamo card
Founded in 1960, Jeune Afrique is a pan-African weekly that covers African and international news. Long known for its print edition - which has put countless political figures on its cover - Jeune Afrique has gone digital with an online format.
With the digital edition, you get all the week’s African news on your phone, computer or tablet. Jeune Afrique has set up a subscription plan you can pay for with your Djamo card.

How to create a Jeune Afrique account
Before paying for a subscription, you need to sign up on the Jeune Afrique site
- In your browser, go to https://www.jeuneafrique.com/
- Follow the instructions to create your account
- You’ll get a confirmation email

How to pay for a subscription
Once your account is set up,
- Click “Subscribe” in the top-left corner of the site
- A page will load with the available subscription plans
- Pick from monthly digital, annual digital, print + digital, or business
- Once you’ve selected a plan, follow the instructions to pay. You’ll be asked to enter your Djamo card details.
How to find your Djamo card details

For a virtual card, tap “Cards” then “View details”

For a physical card, you’ll need (your first and last name as they appear in the left-hand menu of the app, the card number on the front, the expiration date, and the 3-digit security code on the back).
You’ll receive a Verified By VISA code by email, SMS or notification to confirm your payment.
Once your subscription is approved, you’ll get a confirmation email from Jeune Afrique. Just a heads up: Jeune Afrique’s digital content is delivered to you by email.
Important: If the subscription amount shows in a foreign currency, check the exchange rate and top up your card accordingly to avoid rejection fees.
